Virtual Organizing

What is Virtual Organizing (VO)?

Using technology to streamline the organizing process, we are able to help you with your organizing challenges:  organizing your personal possessions, paper, data, photos, or time management issues.   Rather than ‘hands-on, in-person organizing’, Virtual sessions are conducted remotely via interactive, live video conference calls and can be supplemented by recorded video, photos and questionnaires.

How are the sessions structured?

The path we’ll follow is similar whether it’s hands-on, in-home organizing or Virtual Organizing…

  • We start with an intake assessment: once you sign up for your 1st session, a questionnaire will be sent to you to fill out so we can learn about your challenges, what’s worked (or not) and what your goals entail.
  • We’ll then have our first VO session and dive right in to discuss what areas are most important to you and what tasks will help you achieve your goals most efficiently.
  • Following the 1st session, we’ll be sending you an individualized roadmap that will guide us on our journey.
  • Later sessions will be scheduled at your discretion: Do you need motivation? Feedback? Tips?  Questions answered? Ready for more homework?

The Life Simplified Process

Every client’s situation and needs are unique, however, the general path we’ll follow together is:

  • Initial phone consultation to become familiar with you and your goals.
  • Site assessment where we will meet and walk through the areas that need attention. This visit usually lasts an hour to an hour-and-a-half, with general goals being established and some Action Items created for each of us.
  • Project Kick-off with specific goals being agreed upon, then outlining potential strategies to reach those goals.
  • We’ll then enter into the Organizing Phase and work together at your pace to implement our plan.
  • Last — but certainly not least! — the Wrap Up were we’ll meet to discuss how the new systems are working for you, any modifications needed, plans for continued maintenance by you, and any agreed upon follow-up by Life Simplified.
